At Akhil Bhartiya Apang Kalyankari Bahuuddeshiya Sanstha (ABAKBS), volunteering is more than service — it’s shared humanity in action. We work with children and youth with intellectual disabilities, helping them learn essential life skills, gain confidence, and build self-reliance.
When you volunteer with ABAKBS, you step into a space of learning, compassion, and purpose. Each hour you spend becomes a bridge between potential and opportunity — a chance to transform lives, including your own.
Our volunteers come from diverse backgrounds — educators, students, therapists, corporate professionals, homemakers — united by a single belief: that inclusion begins with participation. Whether it’s through teaching, creative workshops, event assistance, or simply spending quality time with our children, every effort contributes to a more dignified, inclusive society.
Every minute you spend helps a child learn new skills, gain confidence, and build a path toward self-reliance.
Volunteering nurtures empathy, leadership, teamwork, and communication — qualities essential for personal and growth
Participate in education, therapy, and vocational activities like candle making, screen printing, and stitching.
You join a network of changemakers who believe in equality, inclusion, and compassion as the foundations of progress.
Anyone above 18 years of age with a genuine desire to serve can volunteer. We welcome students, professionals, homemakers, and retired individuals from all fields and backgrounds.
